| After Engine Rebuild...Ready To Start It Up First Time... Runs Like Ass. (Run A Few Times Here, Runs Bad) Stop. Do Compression Test. - Has compression In All Cylinders. 119-125 ok on never run motor. Go To Bed. Next AM, Fix Vacuum Lines To Be Optimal. Capped Not Needed Crap, Etc. - Attempt To Start Car, Car Starts, Runs Better, But... - Does Not Stay Running, Appears To Be Running On 3 Cyl. - Suspect Timing Belt Is Lose, Crank May Be Off 1 Tooth - Check Compression Again, 1,3,5 all = ZERO (or close to 0!) - Remove Front Crap To Check Timing, Hand Crank To Align Cam Gears, When All Cam Marks Are Set (Nothing Moved in other words, from how it was set, except possibly the crank), Pulley Notch Is Not Under 0 on Lower Timing Cover Indicator. It's At 3 or so. Suspect Crank Jumped A Tooth? Or Was Set Incorrectly By 1 Tooth. Probably set wrong. Silly me. - Remove Pulley, Remove Timing Cover. Looks Like It is 1 Tooth Off. - Replace Timing Belt With New One, Set Timing Correctly. Double Triple and Quadruple Check. It's Set Right. - Compression Test. 1,3,5 all ZERO. 1 tooth off = bent valves? If so, why only on passenger head? Why wouldn't drivers be fawked too? - Remove Top Crap, Remove Int. and Ex. Valve Covers, Lots Of Oil In Here. Not Starving. - Gonna Pull Motor unless someone can give me an idea as to WhyTF I could possibly have ZERO compression in all pass. cylinders when CAM marks were correct. Only apparent error was 1 tooth on belt. The engine has never run. It's been fired half a dozen times. Apparently 3 times with compression, 3 times without. Ideas?
